I haz a small sadness

I want so badly to be at the event this weekend, not stuck in Ft. Worth for drill.  Why?  Why do I so badly want to be at the event?  Well, I did two letters of intent, three crests and contributed two bottles of mead to the effort.  That's a lot of work for something you'll never see, yanno?  I mean, I'm sure that I'll see lots of pictures, and I'm kinda glad I won't be around to see the crests get obliterated, but still...sadness.
