I am Catholic and haven't been attending Mass for quite some time due to the Pope's stance on things and local church politics. I have often wondered how the Orthodox Church feels about things, and how different it is.
I yearn for Mass, but not for the preaching. It kills my heart to hear things so against my view on the world. I cannot imagine that God or Christ thought that some people were more important than others and that we weren't all created to make the world a better place and to teach each other compassion. The Catholic Church teaches so much hate, it embarrasses me to say that I am Catholic.
