Help me, Obi-LJ!

Is trying to remember the name of an old tv show. It was an adult man and a boy jumping through time. I want to say the man's name was Phinius Fog, maybe? Help?

Did they do it by using some sort of watch? If so I know what show you're talking about but I have no freakin' clue what it was called.

Maybe that will jog some other part of the hivemind memory?

Quantum Leap?

That's what I was thinking.

Wow, I can't believe that I pulled this out of my memory, considering I don't think I even really watched the show. I really am a vidiot.

You're thinking of Voyagers.

Huh?

(Not that I ever watched it)

I remember Voyagers and Buck Rogers both came on the same night on NBC.

Found it...

It's Voyagers... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyagers!

Damn, too slow ;-)

God, 1982-1983...no wonder I didn't remember it. I was in college then and not watching a lot of television.

phineas bogg, played by jon-erik hexum - a man so beautiful, and yet so incredibly stupid. he actually died of stupidity. what a waste.

[identity profile] dogmaticus.livejournal.com 2009-12-01 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed he did, stupidity! I remember it like it was last week. There was alot of hub bub in the media about the dangers of prop guns and blanks, but the point that everyone was missing is that this idiot put a revolver to his head and pulled the trigger. So stupid.

I remember that show. The kid was a history nut, and so supplied the clueless Bogg with the info he needed to fix things. It was cheesy as all get-out — actually produced by an arm of the Scholastic book publishing company, IIRC — and I loved it.

Peabody's Improbable History. Sorry that was a dog with a pet boy.

God, I loved Voyagers. It was like an even more half-baked Quantum Leap!

And yes, as others have said, Phineas Bogg, as a take-off of AtWi80D's Fogg.
