On life in general...

Things are good.  We're mostly moved in, I think.  We have internet, thank God, and not enough bookshelves.

We have a huge back yard, and a huge front yard and not enough shrubbery to fill them in.  Usually John gets me roses for anniversaries and birthdays, but I've requested rose *bushes* for the nonce.

I'm tired, and moving is expensive, but life should be settling in soon.

when getting roses....floribundas make bunches of roses and produce more. antique roses bloom over and over again and tend to resist most types of disease but the blooms dont last as long and they dont tend to be "rose-shaped", more like a buttercup oddly enough. oh and if you get a sucker that comes up from the root stock, its probably going to have wicked thorns and may be a different color from the grafted-on bush. (my parents ended up with a yellow and pink rosebush this way.)

i like roses. i think this is a marvelous plan!

I've been reading your journal (journals - sometimes I stalk John's too :-) ) for a while and I don't recall you -ever- having enough bookshelves.
