The weaver's with your daughter. :)

Bouncy and squee works better in skty blue. ^_-

cobalt blue. otherwise, i'll agree, and say that squee comes in many colors. :D

I miss Alberta Skies; hence the preference for sky blue. (And we're talking the bright sky blue, not the washed out, just barely non-cloudy sky blue.) But Cobalt is good too, as is royal. Navy is just that little too dark.

In fact, cobalt and yellow go really well together, which is why hubby has a shoulder loop for his bow case now.

yes on the cobalt and yellow, that is a great combo!

i missed texas skies when i was gone. 17 years gone then moved back, and i could tell the difference between lousiana and texas! so yeah, i get the "i wanna be at home where things look *right*" feeling.

Yeah, and given immigration and all, I doubt I'll be moving back any time soon.

Visiting just isn't the same ...

LOL I wondered what that high pitched squeeing was that I heard last night. :p Design looks gorgeous... could do without the pink though. :D

ROFL!!! Yes! I knew it could be heard three counties over, but DAMN I am good if you heard it up there!!!

The weaver did warn me it was going to be...bright.

She wanted pink! She insisted on pink! I had to talk (browbeat) her into purple! And pastel pink? Onna fighter? Nah. :)

I am all too familiar with her pink obsession & honestly was rather surprised to see the purple in there! :D

Regardless; the pattern is REALLY gorgeous & so beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person! I know it will be hard to miss. ;)

Heeeee! Pink obsesion! There are days I rather understand Gollum. :-) Only with pink. And I try not to be so creepy.

We needed a dark colour to make the pink pop, and it was purple or scarlet. I think the purple actually worked pretty well, although I suppose I would have to weave a pink and scarlet version as well, to compare. Hmmmm. Who knew pink was so popular?

Maybe if I weave like a maniac, I can merchant at Gulfwars ... Next year. After comps.

Hm - I am skeptical that the scarlet will look as good with pink as the purple does. So if you do give it a try, would you share a picture of that as well? :)

I don't have pictures, but the first weaving my first student did (and she picked it up amazingly fast, thus setting my second etc students up for a downfall ...) was pastel pink and a strong blueish red. The red made the pastel pink darker.

A bright pink like the one I've got ehre wouldn't work as well.

BTW, do you mind if I post this picture on my FB?

These posts are public for a reason. :)

(And yes, when I'm trying out new patterns, I do warp up a length and see what happens. Just this time the length has a home.)
