So, you might want to skip this if you're not interested in the Society.
I'm running into my usual "want to do too much, with too little time."
I want to fight. Yeah, need to get my ass out there and practice. I'll get right on that. After work and moving.
I want to sew. I'll do that, too, once I get the sewing room set up and find a place to cut out fabric.
I want to learn so much stuff, and I don't know where to start!
*flail*
How do you fit it all in, if you've got a job that eats your life, like mine can? Sersiously, I'm starting to think about packing a "handwork kit" to take on trips with me.

Date: 2008-08-19 12:45 am (UTC)That's because there's just TOO MUCH that I want to learn. (Someone asks "what are you interested in?" and I say "yes? everything?") :D And this is okay. I constantly have to remind myself that the people who have all of those awards and do chivalric and rapier and archery and and and... have mostly been in for 15-35 years. :p I've got T-I-M-E.... It just doesn't feel like it. ;)
:D So just fit in what you can, when you can, and don't feel guilty when you're too busy. You've got upwards of 20 years to learn it all in. Pick one thing to be the important thing for now (the one that trumps all others in regards to events and going places), and one thing to be the secondary-important thing (the one that you can work on at home), and one thing that is small enough that you can take it with you to work on wherever. :) Oh, and a couple of books to read when you just feel like sitting still and reading something historical. :)
BTW, I love your panicked hamster icon. :)
